Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic Medical Staffing Team Leader who has a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Someone who can work independently in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of the service often within tight timescales, possess good communication skills and a visible, open, and collaborative leadership style that will be essential to supporting and developing a highly engaged Medical workforce. You will also be instrumental in expanding our digital agenda through getting the best out of the systems we use.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for providing a high quality Medical Staffing service to the Trust. Providing management to the Medical Staffing Team who support rota coordination across the trust. Ensuring a smooth on-boarding process is implemented, along with supporting the Job planning and Appraisal and re-validation process. With the aim of delivering a high quality and efficient customer and candidate experience. You will be responsible for ensuring systems are in place to ensure workload is managed across the team, service levels remain high and key performance indicators are met. You will be a senior point of contact within the team to resolve complex queries, support the development of the service, and identify and make changes to improve the service provided ensuring standard operating procedures are in place.

About us

Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.

Established in 2005, we were one of the first foundation trusts in the country and since then have consistently achieved the highest levels of care for patients.

As a group we employ around 4,200 staff and currently provide 600 hospital beds across Gateshead. Our primary focus is on providing excellent general health services to our local community complemented by key specialist areas including Gynaecology, maternity, palliative care and old age psychiatry.

Alongside a full range of local hospital services, we provide breast screening services for Gateshead, South Tyneside, Sunderland and parts of Durham - and we are the North Eastern hub for the National Bowel Cancer and AAA Screening Programmes, covering a population of around seven million people.
