Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic radiographer looking to progress their career into a Band 7 Lead role within CT.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a committed professional with strong interpersonal skills to further develop their CT experience within a management role. The post holder will need to be an experienced and knowledgeable clinical expert in CT and will be responsible for the day to day management of the service. The shift pattern will be predominantly Monday to Friday, but the successful applicant will be expected to support the 7-day, 24-hour service if and when required.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensuring high quality imaging and a good standard of care through the effective use of evidence based practice in line with agreed local and national standards.
  • Accountable for the planning and delivery of all aspects of patient care throughout the working period as set in the Health Professional Code.
  • To provide a continuously improving service in line with the clinical governance framework, Trust objectives, and the NHS performance framework
  • To provide clinical leadership, expertise, advice and support to radiographic and multi -professional team to facilitate the effective delivery of care to patients at all times.
  • To support and continually develop staff to ensure they have the appropriate level of skill, knowledge and competence to meet service/specialty requirements
  • To adhere to and encourage other disciplines to acknowledge local rules and IR(ME)R
