Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Leadership, OD & Staff Experience team for an experienced OD Practitioner to join us for a 12-month fixed term. You will report directly to the Head of Leadership, OD & Staff Experience and work alongside our other 2 OD Practitioners to drive this innovative and broad portfolio.

You will work closely with our Occupational Health & Wellbeing team to enhance the colleague experience as well as partnering closely with our People and OD Leads to support business units and corporate departments, delivering a comprehensive and customer focused service across the trust and subsidiary companies.

About us

Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.

Established in 2005, we were one of the first foundation trusts in the country and since then have consistently achieved the highest levels of care for patients.

We now employ around 4,800 staff and currently provide 444 hospital beds across the Gateshead region.

Essential

  • Professional Membership of CIPD or equivalent.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Higher Level Organisational Development qualification to Masters level (or equivalent experience)
  • Evidence of continued professional development

Desirable

  • MBTI/Insights Practitioner (or other similar behavioural tools)
  • Coaching or Mentorship qualification
  • Internal Communications or Engagement qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant, recent and relevant operational Organisational Development experience at a senior level.
  • Experience of delivering leadership development initiatives and programmes to leaders at all levels.
  • Demonstrable experience of planning and leading successful programmes to deliver outputs to timescales and budget
  • Experience of working in a business partnering role or demonstrable understanding of wider business agenda
  • Previous experience of influencing change effectively

Desirable

  • Experience of working in an NHS environment
  • Experience of designing and delivering training and/or coaching
  • Experience of working across organisational and professional boundaries

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Applied knowledge of evaluation tools and techniques
