Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring and compassionate person to join a well established team of Nursing Assistants working in the Women's Health Clinic. The Women's Health Clinic is a stand alone unit providing all Outpatient services for both Maternity and Gynaecology patients. Services provided include ante natal clinics and scanning, Gynaecology outpatients which includes clinics for patients with suspected cancer, fertility concerns and Uro Gynaecology services). The Early Pregnancy Service (including the Termination of Pregnancy service) is also provided from Women's Health Clinic. A high level of sensitivity, compassion and confidentiality is therefore required for this post.
Clinics are also provided at the Blaydon Primary Care Centre and the post holder will be required to work at this location when rostered to do so.
Main duties of the job
- Working with the clinic team supporting the patients journey in the clinic setting.
- Working closely with clinicians to manage, monitor and support the patient flow through the clinic.
- Supporting all members of the MDT to deliver high quality, safe patient care.
- Ensuring a safe working environment.
- Assisting the clinical staff to care for patients.
- Adopting a flexible approach to ensure all clinics are covered in a timely manner across sites
