Job summary
Working directly with Information and Development Manager, Service Managers, Clinicians, and Project Managers, specify, develop, manage, and maintain Clinical Systems and databases to meet identified business and performance management requirements. Ensuring system security and integrity of data is always maintained.
Main duties of the job
- To specify, develop and manage clinical and non-clinical information systems to ensure the delivery of effective clinical data to meet national, regional, clinical, and or corporate objectives. Including version-controlled documentation of system requirements, development, and associated training documentation.
- On a day-to-day basis act as system expert for our inbuilt clinical and non-clinical systems across multiple departments and sites. Maintaining system security and personnel and patient confidentiality, providing advice and guidance, resolving software problems where possible.
- Liaise and assist Project Managers on development specifications in accordance with Trust, national and local requirements.
- Preparation and maintenance of data base schema documentation and data dictionaries associated with new developments.
- Schedule software installation into training and live environments following thorough testing, using standard test scripts.
- Liaise with Digital Directorate and system supplier for technical support.
- Liaise with Information and Audit for data support.
- Perform any other duties within the department as may be required.
