Specialty Doctor 10PAs
The Trust is seeking to appoint a full time Specialty Doctor within the Richmond Older People CommunityPsychiatry team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and dynamic Doctor with experience in Older Adult Psychiatry to join thiseffective, friendly and rewarding service.
In order to be shortlisted for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 4 years clinical experience as follows:
- 2 years Foundation Training (i.e. FY1 and FY2) or equivalent experience
- 2 years post Foundation Training ( i.e. CT1/ ST1 - CT2/ST2) or equivalent experience.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work closely with a senior Consultant providing support and must demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, in order to provide excellent medical service to the patients. This is a varied role and will include working across the Memory Assessment Service, Care Home Liaison Service and the Recovery and Support Team.

Richmond Mental Health Services for Older People provide specialist assessments and care for those aged over 75 years, and those with a confirmed diagnosis of dementia of all ages, although there is flexibility depending on need.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Primary Medical degree.
- Full GMC registration
- At least 4 years postgraduate medical experience, of which at least 2 years working in psychiatry
- Eligible for S12 approval and able to obtain this within 6 months of appointment
Desirable
- MRCPsych or equivalent
- Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act
KNOWLEDGE: & EXPERIENCE:

- Experience of general adult psychiatry
- Assessment of simple or complex mental illness
- Teamwork ,Communication ,Ongoing commitment to CPD
