Recovery College Trainer

This is a rare opportunity to join an inspiring team passionate and proud of its service, the first Recovery College in the UK. This is a wonderfully fulfilling role in a supportive team.

Main duties of the job

To co-facilitate Recovery College courses with Peer Trainers across pre-designated Recovery College venues in Richmond, Kingston, Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth. To uphold and work within the values of recovery, equality and co-production at all times. Open to sessional work, may be of interest for people who want to work for a service with deep experience in co-production in a strengths-based educational context, and for those interested in developing their group co-facilitation skills.

  • To develop and create a range of recovery-focused courses/workshops for service users, staff, relatives, friends and carers in a co-produced manner.
  • To co-facilitate all courses with a peer trainer, including the administration of courses.
  • To support and supervise other training staff within the Recovery College.
  • To develop good relationships and networks with all relevant Trust services to build a high level of understanding of the College.
  • To work with trainers to plan courses for each term, monitor bookings and attendance and plan and take actions for maximising student numbers.
  • To support service development within the College, from course reviews to new courses and development of trainers.
