South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust are seeking to recruit two full time enthusiastic and skilled Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialists to join the CYP - Community Eating Disorders Service. The postholders will play key roles in an exciting new addition to our service: an Integrated Eating Disorder Outreach Team.
We are delighted that a significant investment has been made by the South London Partnership (SLP) Provider Collaborative to enhance eating disorder outreach provision across South London. 14.5 WTE of new clinical posts will be shared equally between, and embedded within, the two CAMHS community eating disorder services at MCCAED and SWLSTG, to create two 'halves' of an integrated outreach team.
The growing specialist multi-disciplinary team is made up of psychiatrists, nurses, systemic psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists, a consultant paediatrician and a dietician. Team working is held at the core of the service with a range of processes to ensure individual clinicians feel supported in their work, including weekly team meetings and case discussion, fortnightly systemic case consultation, and the opportunity for joint working with more complex cases.

The post-holder will provide clinical services including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of outcomes and the provision of clinical supervision, consultation and training. The post holders will also contribute to service evaluation, research and policy development. There are many opportunities available within the service in relation to continued professional development.
We particularly welcome applications from Black and Ethnic Minority candidates as they are currently under-represented within the team at this level.
