Due to an external promotion, we are looking for a new Team Manager to lead our Primary Liaison - Single Point of Access & Recover Services in Sutton. The Primary Liaison (SPA & Recovery Service) forms part of Sutton Uplift, Adult Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. We offer varying intensity levels of support, treatment and signposting, and comprises of multi-agency staff working together across a treatment pathway from primary care teams and mental health teams based in the community. Part of the integrated, whole-system approach to partnership working between voluntary sector, non-statutory community services, social enterprise and NHS mental health services, and primary care.
Main duties of the job
The role includes: Line Management of all the (non-medical) staff within the service, working closely with Clinical Service Lead and Borough Clinical Manager and oversees the day-to-day running of the team, ensuring all referrals are registered, screened, prioritised, and assessed in a timely manner. Management of the initial contact (triage & assessment) process, risk assessments (including safeguarding) and offering most appropriate treatment pathway. Continuous review of system processes & flow, with a view to improving Patient Access, Recovery, reducing pressure on Acute service and improving the service user experience by maintaining & developing professional, collaborative relationships with the wider physical, mental and welfare service provider networks.
Participate and provide cover (to Clinical Manager) as Chair to the Daily Inter-Agency/Allocations Meetings (DIAM) meetings, a collaboration with our Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise partners. Other Trust/Borough-wide meetings include Care Pathways, Clinical Governance, as well as service development and training meetings in relation to the Adult Community Services Line. Leading on monitoring the service performance in terms of workforce (productivity), Quality & Governance, to ensure that commissioned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
