Job summary
The post will be in the Integrated Independence Team (IIT), within the IIT Rehab at Home service. IIT is a groundbreaking, extended intermediate care and frailty team, incorporating other services such as Rapid Response, ParaDoc, Proactive Care and the Transfer of Care Hub.
The advertised post sits within the community rehabilitation arm of the team, covering the South of the Borough. A friendly and welcoming team of therapists and support staff await the incoming post holder, covering a variety of physical conditions in service user's homes, but most often frailty, falls, post surgical and deconditioned patients following a hospital admission.
The post is to cover a maternity leave, and is an established role with supervisory, clinical and project responsibilities. The successful applicant will have proven experience and expertise treating patients in the community and staff management.
You will work alongside other band 7 therapists to ensure smooth running of the community physiotherapy service within IIT, and also work with other stakeholders across IIT and beyond to develop and improve the service.
Main duties of the job
- Be responsible for and highly skilled in the management and provision of physiotherapy within the team
- Be responsible and accountable for the co-ordination and management of the processes of running the South Team.
- Be responsible for allocating workload appropriately and managing priorities for physiotherapy in line with demands of the service.
- Lead, monitor and review development of objectives, protocols and policies within the teams relating to clinical specialism
- Incorporate and review user involvement in implementation of the service.
