An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Community Rehabilitation Team (ACRT) at Homerton Healthcare Trust as our Principal Clinical Neuropsychologist.
The neuropsychology service in ACRT is fully integrated in the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and works within a holistic, person-centred framework. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in complex assessment and intervention, MDT formulation and consultation, service development and leadership skills.
You will be part of our well established, consultant-led neuropsychology service. Homerton Neuropsychology has a strong holistic ethos and many of the services we work into have adopted a biopsychosocial formulation-led approach. The Trust is keen to develop and nurture high calibre neuropsychologists and you will be able to access QiCN supervision, funding, specialist neuro CPD as well as service development, research and leadership opportunities.
The post would suit a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist looking to progress to an 8b position. We also welcome applications from 8a Psychologists looking to develop their skills via a preceptorship programme. We particularly welcome applications from candidates from minority ethnic backgrounds to improve our representation of the communities that we serve.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the ACRT Psychology Team, which consists of a qualified psychologist, a trainee and an assistant psychologist . The post holder will provide clinical leadership and psychological interventions to individuals, families as well as through multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver clinical supervision and complex case management support. to the psychology team.
You will be working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Department's and Trust's policies and procedures. You will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the service as well as contributing to service developments and improvements.
