Job summary
City and Hackney Talking Therapies have been awarded funding from Sport England to become a Trailblazer site embedding physical activity in Talking Therapies. Trailblazers will be national leaders, pioneering innovation and transformation by co-designing and testing a number of physical activity intervention models in improving mental health outcomes for people accessing NHS Talking Therapies, as well as sustaining interventions beyond the Trailblazer lifespan. The postholder will be responsible for utilising and building upon learnings from the NHSE Toolkit 'Incorporating Physical Activity Interventions into NHS Talking Therapies', working closely with the band 7 CBT Therapist - Physical Activity in NHS TT Clinical Champion.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for a band 8a Clinical Psychologist or CBT Therapist who is interested in working collaboratively with a range of partners (and service users) to develop a local model aimed at improving mental health by incorporating physical activity into the Talking Therapies service. The successful candidate will have a role in supporting the implementation of a robust evaluation methodology designed to evidence learning and impact of the Trailblazer initiative.
The postholder will have a lead coordination role and be the main point of liaison between City & Hackney Talking Therapies and our stakeholders including Hackney Council (the contract lead) Sport England (partner and funder) London Sport/NEL (regional leads) and evaluation partner (University College London).
