Job summary

The Children's Integrated Speech and Language Therapy Service for Hackney and the City is a unique collaboration between local health and education agencies. Providing a comprehensive service to the children, young people and families within Hackney and The City.

Verbo (www.verboapp.co.uk) is an award winning online Speech and Language Therapy (and Occupational Therapy) Toolkit. The toolkit provides universal and targeted preventative care for ages 2 through to early adulthood. Our mission is to enhance the communication skills of all children and young people.

This post is a remote, working from home post. If you are local to Hackney you are welcome to use community office spaces available. Within this post there will be requirements for travel:

  • Atleast three times a year to a team meeting in London
  • Conferences/exhibitions around the UK (these may include overnight stays)
  • Management IT equipment

It is also important to note that you will be required to travel to Homerton as part of the recruitment process to show ID documents and possibly and Occupational Health appointment.

Main duties of the job

The sessions will be mainly as part of the Verbo team.

The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of Verbo. This will include:

  • Being a link therapist to settings using Verbo. Provide them with online consultative calls and training
  • Developing clinical content
  • Contributing to ideas and development
  • Leading on specific projects
  • Working with a multi-professional team, including other SaLTs, a technical team, marketing advisors, videographers, web designers and many more
  • Provide support and training to users
  • Attend conferences and events
  • Liaise and communicate with a range of professionals
