Job summary
The Bank Neonatal Unit Data Officer will have a key role supporting data field completion in the neonatal Badger system. Interfaces with data entered into the EPR system will also be included in this work, as paperless system working evolves with neonatal care at the Homerton neonatal unit . The data officer will work closely with the unit's data coordinator and support the inputting of high-quality information that is both clinical and nonclinical as well as undertaking processes of data cleaning.

Main duties of the job
Support all aspects of data collection and data entry with the neonatal service, including infants who require support with transitional care (TC).
Ensuring accurate and timely data entry to support correct allocation of care level for each baby in the neonatal unit and those receiving TC in the postnatal ward areas..
Responsible for the efficient and accurate collection, storage, retrieval and transfer of data relating to Neonatal patients; in the unit and the postnatal ward.
To enter, modify and ensure robust data is accurately, completely, and consistently entered the Badger system in accordance with agreed local and national legislation, policies and procedures.
To identify, clarify and resolve queries, discrepancies, missing data, and errors, checking accuracy of information at all levels, and ensuring that the integrity of data is maintained and that datasets are complete.
To have a full comprehension of data protection and legal applications of data sharing including Caldicott principles and the National Data Sharing Agreement with Clevemed the supplies of Badger and the NHS.
