Are you looking for an exciting post as a Specialist BariatricDietitian?
You will be working within the highly regarded multidisciplinary bariatric surgery team. It comprises of surgeons, physicians, nurses, chemical pathologist, clinical psychologists, physiotherapists and clinical co-ordinators. We provide tier 4 bariatric surgery service to patients across east London and the east of England.The successful candidate will be required to communicate effectively with a wide range of patients, colleagues and external partners. You will possess a range of skills to work compassionately with patients presenting with psychosocial complexity, to provide dietetic consultation within the specialist MDT and to work with complex inpatients following bariatric surgery. You will have a solid background in MDT working, providing supervision and experience of clinical governance including audit.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for co-ordinating the dietetic team to provide an efficient and high quality service to obese patients considering and undergoing bariatric surgery at Homerton Hospital, functioning as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary bariatric team
Represent the bariatric dietitians at operational level and lead on dietetic service development aligned with strategic priorities
Manage a highly specialised clinical caseload including looking after inpatients and complex outpatients requiring assessment, diagnosis, management and treatment within this speciality
Co-ordinate the team to provide a regular service for bariatric surgery patients pre and post operatively in the form of regular outpatient clinics, groups and inpatient cover.
Co-ordinate individual patient's care by providing the link between a range of healthcare and social care professionals as required in order to ensure the patient has a smooth pathway through the service
Support the development of operational policies and guidelines in the area of obesity and bariatric surgery
