Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department at the Homerton.
The Emergency Department is a progressive and dynamic department, rated 'Outstanding' Emergency Department for the second time by the CQC. We serve the multi culturally, diverse population of Hackney and are based in the East End of London. Our annual Emergency attendance is in excess of 120,000 new patients.
Main duties of the job
Main duties include:
To deliver a high standard of patient care as an experienced Nurse Practitioner in urgent care/injuries, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth knowledge base. This post will be 30% clinical to maintain clinical competence and credibility.
Provide visible leadership to ensure the delivery of a high standard of clinical care using expert knowledge, judgement, and decision-making skills.
Manage the unpredictable workload and multidisciplinary team within the injuries and urgent care centre areas.
Act as a role model and provide leadership, clinical support and expert advice to medical, nursing staff, students and other staff in the multidisciplinary team.
