Are you an experienced MSK Physiotherapist, keen to develop your physiotherapy and leadership skills in a forward thinking physiotherapy department?

Homerton's' Physiotherapy service provides rehabilitation in a supportive teaching hospital environment.

You will be supported to develop your skills andcompetencies with:

  • Regular senior MSK teaching
  • Dedicated MSK physiotherapy management support
  • Dedicated 1:1 band 8a supervision
  • Access to training in areas such as leadership, quality improvement and mentorship
  • Access to funding for courses and MSc modules

The role will include:

  • Mixed clinical caseload of secondary care MSK referrals
  • Opportunities to work alongside Trauma & Orthopaedic or Sports & Exercise Medicine Consultants in specific joint clinics.
  • Supervision opportunities - Band 6 / Band 5/ assistant physiotherapist.
  • Participation in the triaging and team lead rota (providing clinical and managerial support to the team in the department).

Main duties of the job

As a Band 7 you will work with our Physiotherapy team in our well-equipped Physiotherapy Department at Homerton Healthcare and satellite physiotherapy clinics across Hackney.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the team helping deliver clinical education and quality improvement projects throughout the service, as well as evidence-based, patient-centred, physiotherapy management to a varied caseload of musculoskeletal patients.
