Job summary
We are delighted to offer a 1.0 WTE post as Specialist Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Health. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced clinician to join our busy and committed team. The role includes being a senior and expert decision maker, supporting colleagues in an integrated sexual health clinic. We are looking for someone passionate about teaching and training others for Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) qualifications, and a willingness to transition into the role of General Training Programme Director for the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.
The appointed candidate is entitled to make a request for flexible working if they wish.

Fitting and removing subdermal implants and intrauterine devices

Essential
- MBBS or equivalent medical registration
- Eligible for full registration with General Medical Council (GMC) and holding a licence to practice at the time of the appointment
- 12 years full-time postgraduate experience (or parttime equivalent) in clinical medicine
- 6 years full-time experience across sexual and reproductive health medicine
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable
- Higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)

- Experience of working as a senior/expert decision maker in integrated sexual health and contraception clinics, serving diverse populations, and with social and psychological complexity
- Experience of managing cases of safeguarding children and adults

- Letter of Competence in Subdermal Contraceptive Implant Techniques
- Letter of Competence in Intrauterine Techniques
- STIF Advanced Competency, or demonstration of equivalent knowledge
