We are excited to announce there is an opportunity for a Emergency Department Assistant to join our OUTSTANDING Emergency Department in the heart of East London.
You will be joining a team that is one of the highest performing Emergency Departments in the UK, that achieves consistently good clinical engagement, patient flow and has an OUTSTANDING rating at CQC.
We are looking for an Emergency Department Assistant who will assist in the flow of patients through the Emergency Department and through the admission ward.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties include:
- The post holder will provide patient transfer services between the ED, ACU (Admissions Unit) and other locations within the hospital.
- You will assist in the patient's comfort needs and mobilization during transfer between location.
- You will assist in general collection and delivery services for the ED if required. This may include laundry, equipment and waste.
- You will assist in the turnaround of cubicle spaces including cleaning and restocking for the next patient
