Job summary
We are looking for a positive, self-motivated, and hardworking individual to join our busy, friendly Pharmacy Department at Homerton Healthcare.
The role will be suited to a forward thinking and innovative applicant who will be key to making changes to systems, with a view to improve efficiency, sustainability by streamlining current practices.
You should be organised, accurate and methodical in your approach to work; with good communication, computer and customer service skills. You must have GCSE or equivalent level of education including English, Maths and Science at Level C or above. You must also be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services and have extensive experience in hospital pharmacy distribution.
Key duties for the post include:
-Receive all incoming pharmacy goods using the Pharmacy JAC stock control system, checking if they are correct in identity, quantity and condition, dealing with any discrepancies the same day goods are received, in order to ensure adequate stocks and financial recompense. Putting stock away and loading the Pharmacy Robot.
Main duties of the job
This role entails a significant amount of physical effort e.g. manual handling of moderately heavy loads, including IV fluids, pushing trolleys and walking. Experience within a logistics/ warehouse setting would also be welcomed.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising and training rotational staff on a day-to-day basis.
Accurate receipt of Pharmacy Orders in compliance with GDP guidelines and local Pharmacy procedures.
Maintenance of the Pharmacy store to ensure safe and secure handling and storage of Medicines
