Job summary
We are looking for new nurses to join our ECU North Team at Homerton, both experienced and those newly qualified are encouraged to apply. The Trust was rated outstanding by CQC in 2020 and are proud of the standards we maintain across our services.
Elderly Care Unit- North is one of the Trust's elderly care wards, looking after acutely unwell, older and frail adults. It provides staff with a great opportunity to learn and develop their clinical, nursing and leadership skills. The ward is a busy environment with opportunities to learn from varying specialties. We work closely with the wider MDT to provide high quality care and ensure our patients have a smooth transition back to the community.
Our team consists of a strong nursing and clinical ethos around patient centered care, safety and teamwork. You will be placed on a supportive and structured education and training pathway, centered on reflective supervision, clinical skills, research and leadership.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will practice within a team of nursing staff, and act as a 'named nurse' for a group of patients: assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating their care needs.
The post holder will not require direct supervision and will be expected to co-ordinate a ward / area providing direction to junior staff.
