Job summary

The Information Analyst plays a vital role to meet all reporting needs for community reporting specific to health visiting service. The post holder is responsible for design, development, production and assisting in the implementation of health visiting suite of reports. The post holder acts as a subject matter expert of all national and contractual rules for these focussed areas to operational teams. The post holder is responsible for keeping Head of Information Services, Business Intelligence Manager and Divisional analyst informed of any latest changes to the guidance, its interpretation, impact analysis and roll out. The post holder is also responsible for the development, maintenance and user support for relevant operational reports available via BI platform used by the Trust.

The post holder will maintain the integrity of the clinical systems feeding various reports and ensure that it is maintained as a trusted single source of the truth. This post has a focus on the collection, development and reporting production from the community clinical system as well as manually held datasets used by the service. The post holder need to autonomously manage projects relating to any new information reporting needs.

Main duties of the job

  • Day to day effective production of all relevant operational reports available via Trust BI platform, SSRS or Excel as appropriate.
  • Design, development and maintenance of allocated national, contractual or local submissions reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for the documentation of the logic used for the reports.
  • Ensure data is loaded at agreed intervals and full audit of load process is monitored .
  • Ensure all relevant national reference tables are updated on a regular basis by liaising with Data Warehouse Manager.
  • Keep abreast with all national guidelines around reporting and any latest changes communicated to relevant teams.
  • Ensure relevant data quality reports are maintained for national, contractual and operational data items.
  • Train the operational teams on how to use the reports and interpret the findings.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely submission of Health visiting reports as per national timetable.
  • Responsible for the generation of suite of regular internal reports for various boards.
  • Responsible for the provision of Health visiting community KPIs on an agreed regular basis to operational teams and commissioners.
  • Expert in communicating the complex statistical analyses to all levels of management.
  • Responsible for the production of bench mark data for relevant Trust KPIs against agreed Peer group for Health Visiting metrics.
