Job summary
In this role as a Single Point of Access (SPA) Referrals Assistant, you will be required to support the receipt of all service referrals both electronically and via telephone, in addition to the processing of these referrals through a number of complex patient care pathways. You will work closely with clinical and senior management team to ensure that the service provided, is patient focused and responsive.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to:
- To provide efficient, effective, and high standards of service that meets the needs of the mental health CAMHS single point of
- To effectively manage referrals and communications requiring triage and further intervention.
- In conjunction with both the existing Community CAMHS (First Steps and CAMHS Disability) services develop a customer service focus within the CAMHS SPA promoting engagement and facilitating the promotion and easy use of SPA by all referring agencies and stakeholders (e.g., GPs, schools, families, and any other children's services).
- Work in partnership with clients and colleagues, maintaining respect for differing opinions and discussing all appropriate options for ways of working together

- 2 A/AS levels (any grade) NVQ level3, BTEC diplomas, Certificates and Awards, International Baccalaureate diploma or equivalent or Level 3 qualification.
- Proven experience in office systems, with advanced use of Microsoft Office, i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
- Sound judgement and logical approach to complex situations, with ability to determine solutions
- Confidence in call handling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of people from different backgrounds at all levels of seniority.
