Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in a specialist bariatric surgery service at Homerton Hospital.

The post holder will work as part of the specialist bariatric psychology team and the wider multidisciplinary team - which includes consultant surgeons, specialist medical physicians, nurses, dietitians, and physiotherapists - to support people in preparing for and, adjusting to, a surgical weight loss intervention. The post holder will provide clinical supervision, line management, and support to Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists (when on placement) in the team.

The post holder will also assist the Principal Clinical Psychologist and Service Manager and take the lead on audit, quality improvement and service development projects related to the provision of the specialist bariatric psychology team and wider multidisciplinary service and patient pathways.
