An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Headway accredited Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit (RNRU) at Homerton University Hospital as our Principal Neuropsychologist.
You will work closely with the Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist to deliver a gold standard specialist neuropsychological rehabilitation service to adults with complex needs following acquired brain injury (ABI). The neuropsychology service on RNRU is fully integrated in the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and works within a holistic, person-centred framework. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in complex assessment and intervention, MDT formulation and consultation, service development and leadership skills.
We welcome applications from candidateswho may not yet meet the full person specification but are looking to develop their skills through a preceptorship programme. The successful candidate would initially work as a band 8a clinical psychologist with senior support to achieve the required range of competencies and move into the 8b role once these are achieved (see attached JD and PS for both bands).

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the RNRU Psychology Team. You will provide clinical supervision and complex case management support to a qualified psychologist and an assistant psychologist. The post holder will provide clinical leadership and psychological interventions to individuals, families as well as through multi-disciplinary teams.
You will be working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Department's and Trust's policies and procedures. You will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the service as well as contributing to service developments and improvements.
You will be part of our well established neuropsychology service under new consultant leadership. HHFT has neuropsychology staff working across the whole neurorehabilitation pathway from the acute stroke unit, to Level 1 and Level 2b transitional neurorehabilitation units, and on to specialist community services. The Trust is keen to develop and nurture high calibre neuropsychologists and you will be able to access QiCN supervision, funding, specialist neuro CPD as well as service development, research and leadership opportunities.
