Job summary
The post holder will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Transformation & Improvement Team, helping to coordinate meetings, manage information, support improvement programmes and ensure effective communication across clinical, operational and corporate teams. Alongside on-the-job learning, the apprentice will complete a structured apprenticeship programme to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a career in NHS administration and improvement.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Administration Apprentice to join our Transformation & Improvement Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career who is keen to develop administration, digital and improvement skills while gaining a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Main duties of the job

Administrative Support
- Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Transformation & Improvement Team
- Organise meetings, workshops and events, including booking rooms, arranging virtual meetings and circulating agendas and papers
- Take accurate meeting notes and actions from meetings and ensure timely follow-up
- Maintain electronic filing systems, databases and trackers to support improvement programmes and projects
- Support the preparation of documents, reports, presentations and basic data summaries
Communication and Coordination
- Act as a point of contact for the team, responding to routine enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Liaise with colleagues across clinical, operational and corporate teams to support improvement work
- Support internal communications, including updating documents, trackers or intranet content where required
Improvement and Transformation Support
- Provide administrative support to quality improvement, service transformation and digital change initiatives
- Help track actions, milestones and deadlines for improvement projects
- Support the collation of feedback, learning and lessons learned from improvement activity
Apprenticeship and Development
- Actively participate in the apprenticeship programme, completing all required training, coursework and assessments
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, systems and ways of working
- Apply learning from the apprenticeship to day-to-day work
- Attend regular reviews with the line manager and apprenticeship assessor
General Responsibilities
