It is a exciting time to join The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust.

PAHT have been awarded the funding to support the vision for the West Essex Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) in providing timely access to diagnostics for all of the West Essex population, tackling health inequalities and achieving the 28-day Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) for all potential cancer and non-cancer patients. Clinical patient pathways will be joined up between primary, community and secondary care by redesigning existing healthcare provision to include elective and non-elective models of care and extension of opening hours.

The Radiology department at the Princess Alexandra Hospital is actively seeking to recruit a Consultant Radiologist with a sub-specialty interest in Chest Imaging. This position will consist of 10 PAs per week, with an additional PA for on-call commitments.

You will support a busy and diverse Imaging service, with a scope to further develop the appointee’s area of special interest.

This is a position required to support the Radiology service at the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) and have an interest in Chest Imaging, pursuing opportunities to expand the Chest service.

You will be based primarily at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, but may be asked to work at any of the other 2 sites that make up the Trust, St. Margaret’s in Epping and Herts & Essex in Bishops Stortford.

If successful, you will take part in multi-disciplinary meetings and participate in teaching Radiology registrars.
