Job summary
Working as part of the team, this role is integral in assisting and supporting the nursing staff to deliver high quality, safe, kind, efficient, effective and compassionate patient care, and participating in other departmental related duties as requested/ directed by the registered nursing and clinical team. Post holder will also be instrumental in ensuring all staff/ colleagues, patients, families and visitors to the unit are treated with respect and dignity, and for reflecting the Trust values and behaviours at all times.
Main duties of the job
Working 5 days across Monday to Sunday, you will be working within a busy urological diagnostic and treatment hub providing a wide range of investigatory procedures and treatments for general urology and uro-oncology conditions. Main duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to; To provide and maintain a high standard of effective clinical nursing care to all patients visiting the unit To ensure that all documentation is accurately completed and maintained in accordance with Trust guidance including digital and computerised documentation To establish and maintain effective communication with all patients, relatives and staff. To communicate effectively between all members of unit, the multidisciplinary team and other members of Trust staff as required Presents a good image of themselves and the department through their attitude, behaviour and general demeanour and role models the Trusts values and behaviours To treat all colleagues and patients and their carers with courtesy and respect To follow Trust policy regarding sickness and absence To fully understand your role regarding health & safety, fire safety, security, major incidents, chemical incidents or bomb threats.
