Job summary

We are currently looking for an innovative and experienced HR professional to join us as a Strategic HR Business Partner. You will operate as a people expert, being responsible for the provision of high quality strategic and operational workforce support to ensure best practice people management within your area of responsibility, and across the wider people function. Main duties of the job

Working closely with the divisional triumvirates and other key managers and individuals, you will lead on all aspects associated with the forward planning, modernisation, engagement, motivation and performance of our people.

In addition, you will embed excellent people management practice and standards; ensuring increased people management capability within the Trust There are four distinct role functions of a Strategic HR Business Partner:

  • Embed our people agenda - ensure there are strong and credible work relationships in place within the divisional leadership team that allow insight, strategy and solutions that support progression of the people agenda
  • Plan and deliver on our future workforce strategies - work with divisional teams to design and implement structures to facilitate new models of care/ways of working; and in leading and supporting on consultation and transformation
  • Facilitate a high performance culture - through people data/metrics, and in collaboration with the wider people and learning & OD function, ensure our people have the right tools and information to support a high performing culture
  • Provide expert advice on people related matters - advise on highly complex/complicated, sensitive or high-risk cases, including medical staffing issues, where expert people advice is required

  • Master's degree or demonstrable equivalent experience working within Human Resources
  • Evidence of CPD demonstrating regular attendance on employment law updates courses and employee relations

  • Significant experience in an operational generalist role, covering a wide range of HR responsibilities to include recruitment, discipline, grievance, organisational change and re-structuring, redundancy and changing terms and conditions of employment and TUPE.

Desirable

  • Human resources experience within the NHS or within another large public sector organisation that provides transferable knowledge and skills.
