Job responsibilities

The candidate will be expected to join the other doctors in covering both Dolphin ward/ ED and NICU/ Postnatal wards. This will involve working a mixture of normal days, Long days, twilights, weekends and nights on a 10-week rolling rota. They will be responsible to timely patient review and discharges with appropriate senior support.

The candidate will undertake appropriate administrative duties associated with the care of paediatric patients which will include supervision of foundation doctors/ ST1-3s and GPVTS. The role will include ensuring accurate medical record keeping, timely completion of discharge summaries.

This role will involve full participation in the on call rota involving weekends and nights.

• Clinical training and experience in Paediatrics.
• Presenting and completing Audits

• Commitment to support research and development within the Trust R&D policy
