An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated midwife to join our team as the Ward Manager in Clayton Ward Maternity Unit.

Main duties of the job

  • The Ward Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based women centred midwifery care while fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
  • The role involves providing strong clinical leadership to the Clayton Ward team, overseeing the day to day running of the ward and coordinating care for private and amenity patients.
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary colleagues and Matrons, the post holder will ensure safe, effective care and positive patient experience.
  • As an expert clinical midwife, they will also offer specialist advice and guidance to support the care of women, pregnant people and their families.
