Main duties of the job

From April 2026 we will operate as a unified Group. As Group Chief Finance Officer, you will shape the financial strategy that underpins our long-term sustainability and ensures we use our collective resources wisely. You will work closely with the trust CFOs to embed disciplined financial leadership, support transformation of corporate services and ensure our financial models reinforce high-quality clinical care. You will also lead on capital strategy, financial planning and commercial development opportunities that support our broader ambitions.

This is a rare opportunity for an outstanding financial leader to influence system-wide decision making across one of the most significant NHS groups in the country. You will bring strong strategic capability, experience of managing financial performance at scale, and the confidence to operate with credibility at national level.
