Job summary
As the Patient Data Access Co-ordinator you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and efficient patient data access service for the Imaging department, ensuring that applications and queries are dealt with in an efficient manner and in accordance with GDPR and local guidelines.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the departmental spreadsheets and ensuring quality and customer care standards are met.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with patients and Solicitors as well as internal departments such as Health Records, PALS and the Legal team.
You will be required to have a knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook and Excel
Main duties of the job
- To act as the first point of contact for patients and/or their representatives and Solicitors seeking images and results of previous scans.
- Manage the process of imaging patient data access requests against the GDPR guidelines and internal targets.
- Comply with GDPR guidelines at all times to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained.
- Provide service users with appropriate information relating to the process of obtaining their images electronically or on CD.
- Organise and maintain an accurate and secure filing system, in both paper and electronic forms where appropriate.
- Ensure all telephone calls and emails are responded to within a timely manner and handled with tact and diplomacy.
- Competently use IT and keyboard skills continuously throughout the day.
