We are currently offering substantive positions on 8 South, a 22-bedded Medicine for elderly ward at Charing Cross Hospital. Our ward specialises in caring for elderly patients. We work closely with the A&E, AMU, AAU, and discharge teams to ensure safe, effective, and team-led patient care.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our vibrant team. You'll be supported by a wealth of clinical and administrative experience, including 1:1 coaching, regular in-house training, and a strong multidisciplinary team. Our busy yet supportive environment is ideal for developing new skills and building on existing ones.

Main duties of the job
- Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision.
- Ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based.
- Individualised patient care.
- Organise one's own work load ensuring most effective use of time.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff and students.
- Ensure that nursing practices comply with Trust policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively at all times and maintain a harmonious working environment.
- Assess the needs of patients, relatives and carers and provide them with information as requested.
- To keep up to date with current developments in nursing and ensure evidence based practice.
- Develop new skills and knowledge pertaining to the speciality as advised by the senior sister or charge nurse.
