The Role
Our division delivers world-class care across integrated services, renal and transplant, stroke and neurosciences, acute and specialist medicine, and urgent and emergency care. With an annual income of over£400 millionand a dedicated team of nearly3,500 professionals,we combine scale with excellence to provide life-changing care.
This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of our organisation. As Divisional Director, you will provide vision, strategic direction and executive leadership for the Medicine and Integrated Care Division - one of the largest and most complex portfolios in the Trust. Working as part of the divisional triumvirate and alongside executive colleagues, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective clinical services, while driving innovation and transformation across the division.

We are looking for a clinically qualified leader with:
- Significant experience of leading large, complex healthcare organisations through change.
- A track record of delivering high-quality clinical services and improving patient outcomes.
- Strong financial and operational management skills.
- A commitment to research, education and innovation.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build networks and lead senior teams.

Main duties of the job
You will be accountable for:
- Leading the division to meet all key performance requirements, including quality, safety, financial and operational targets.
- Championing clinical excellence, research and education, ensuring our services reain at the forefront of evidence-based care.
- Driving continuous improvement and transformation, including new models of care and integrated pathways.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive culture that reflects our values- kind, collaborative, expert and aspirational- and engages staff at all levels.
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic partners, commissioners and local communities.
- This is a role for an exceptional leader - someone who combines clinical credibility with strategic vision and the ability to deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.
