Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our excellent pharmacy team on the Hammersmith Hospital site, which is part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
You will be part of the busy Pharmacy Dispensary and Distribution Team, providing a high quality, patient focused dispensing and stock management service to the wards and clinics.
You will need good computer skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and so excellent communication skills are essential. You must have a NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and have mandatory professional CPD as defined by the GPhC.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a high quality patient focused dispensing service to wards and departments of the Trust, Medical School, associated hospitals, community clinics and on-site research centres.
- To help ensure that service provision is flexible and responsive to customer needs.
- To ensure the quality and accuracy of information held on the pharmacy CMM computer system in relation to stock management.
- To help audit the service against set standards and assist in the review of service provision .
- To support, develop and monitor the progress of all technical staff working in the dispensary (both rotational and static staff) .
