Main duties of the job
- Provide professional nursing leadership to inspire, motivate and empower nurses within the service, providing expert advice.
- The post-holder will support the delivery of strategic and operational objectives set by West London Children's Healthcare (WLCH) and the Trust (Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust). In addition, they will act as a point of contact for advice and expertise on all matters relating to professional nursing issues.
- The post holder will contribute to both WLCH and Trust initiatives and plans, particularly with respect to changes in patient care delivery and clinical quality. They will provide clinical leadership, which inspires, motivates and empowers nurses.
- In conjunction with the Head of Nursing and Director of Nursing the post holder will ensure that there is optimal deployment of nursing staff to ensure high quality patient care is delivered and monitored.
- The successful applicant will support the operational delivery of WLCH and the Trust Quality agenda, including risk management, and quality improvement targets within nursing.
- In conjunction with the Head of Nursing and the Director of Nursing, and in collaboration with other members of the senior team, the post holder will support the management of establishments and the implementation of developments relating to nursing.
