Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospital pharmacy technician with an interest in digital health systems to further their experience by undertaking research and evaluation within the Centre for Medication Safety and Service Quality. Working with colleagues in the pharmacy department and the NIHR North West London Patient Safety Research Collaboration, the post holder will be supporting research and evaluation, focusing on an evaluation of the electronic prescription service in the hospital context
Main duties of the job
- The role will mainly involve supporting the design of data collection methods, data collection and analysis, report writing and dissemination, all within the area of digital medication safety.
- This will mainly involve contributing to the evaluation of the electronic prescription service in the hospital context.
- The post holder will also support our broader work to encourage pharmacy staff to get more involved with research and evaluation.

- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
- Mandatory professional CPD as defined by GPhC
- English and Maths to GCSE grade C or above or equivalent
Desirable
- A1 NVQ Assessor (or to be achieved within 12 months of commencement)
- Postgraduate research degree eg MRes, MPhil or PhD
