The closing date is 14 November 2025

Job summary

Are you an experienced, dynamic leader passionate about transforming children's healthcare? Join West London Children's Healthcare (WLCH) as a Programme and Innovation Manager and drive high-impact initiatives across North West London. You'll collaborate with clinical teams, commissioning partners, and stakeholders to deliver innovative programmes that improve outcomes for children and young people.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and visionary Programme and Innovation Manager to drive forward transformative initiatives across West London Children's Healthcare.

This pivotal role will provide a highly effective management function for programme initiatives that are facilitated by our organisation, supporting the development and delivery of high impact programmes that span the entire North West London region. From enhancing mental health support in acute settings to advancing care pathways in epilepsy and transition services, the post holder will take on a portfolio of highly impactful programmes that will continue to change, and work with a highly skilled MDT to shape and innovative integrated solutions that improve outcomes for children and young people.

The successful candidate will champion service improvement, foster cross organisational collaboration, and ensure programmes are aligned with strategic priorities and delivered in a highly organised and timely manner.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to think laterally, build strong and trusted relationships quickly, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will bring a strong appetite for analytics, evidence, and learning into everything you do, and demonstrate the ability to rapidly understand new clinical and operational subjects.

In particular, you will:

  • Role model behaviours that reflect our organisational values.
  • Show a commitment to learning, self-reflection, appraisal, and development, including undertaking an annual Personal Development Review and supporting others to do the same.
  • Operate confidently in an environment of significant complexity and ambiguity, taking time to understand the context of the healthcare system and demonstrating sound judgement--including seeking support when needed--and offering support and guidance to others.
  • Exhibit curiosity about the work happening across the system, and actively share impactful innovations that support children and young people's care.
  • Engage proactively in available project opportunities, with an expectation of contributing to project work for approximately 70-80% of your time, often working on several programmes simultaneously, and balancing short term deliverables with longer-term strategic goals. This is a guideline rather than a formal performance metric, intended to support effective workload and resource planning.
