Job summary

As part of a well-resourced multi-disciplinary team, you will work with others to protect and enhance the health of current and prospective employees. You will provide proactive and reactive advice and intervention, including immunisations, venepuncture, health clearance activity, and risk management & exposure related advice and intervention to unplanned clinical incidents and outbreaks.
Main duties of the job
- As part of a multi-disciplinary team the purpose of this role is to support the protection and promotion of the health and wellbeing of current and prospective employees, and those from contracted and other organisations as per Trust arrangements.
- To work in partnership with Stakeholder and Partner Departments in the proactive and reactive processes, designed to ensure ICH Staff are fit for role and receive the required level of advice and intervention to protect their health and that of work colleagues and patients.
- In accordance with Trust / Department policy and procedures, to deliver OH clinical activity such as immunisations, venepuncture, health clearance activity, and risk management & exposure related advice and intervention.
- To provide evidence-based opinion, intervention and guidance to Trust management and partner organisations to support their line and risk management responsibilities, assist in safeguarding against risks arising from work and the working environment and to influence the application of safe and healthy work practices.
- When assigned and within levels of competence, take responsibility for specific areas of occupational health service delivery.
- Provide support to other OH Staff, in the delivery of their responsibilities by sharing own expertise, providing guidance and, when necessary, supporting in the undertaking of their duties.
