Job summary
An exceptional opportunity awaits a self-driven and visionary Imaging Senior Radiographer to join the Interventional Radiology (IR) Department at St Mary's Hospital as an IR Modality Lead.

The unit consists of three high-specification interventional rooms undertaking complex interventional procedures, including Endovascular Aortic Repairs (EVARs), diagnostic angiograms and angioplasties, carotid stenting, and Interventional trauma work.
Your adept organisational and leadership skills will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the unit. As you oversee the unit's activities and manage a diverse team, including their training and development, you will be instrumental in maintaining its high standards.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Radiographer with proven team leadership and communication skills to manage the Interventional Radiology department. In conjunction with the team of Modality Leads, the postholder will ensure the optimum use of staffing and equipment resources throughout the department.

Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the management and day to day running of the specialised services pertaining to the unit.
- To be responsible for the management and development of the specialist service ensuring optimum use of staffing and equipment resources within the modalities.
- To be responsible for the professional leadership and training of the team, providing a high quality patient focused service.

- To ensure maintenance of equipment and a safe working environment.
