Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated senior trainee (ST4 or above or equivalent) with a special interest in another specialty to join St Mary's hospital as a medical registrar.
The medical chief registrar will be attached to the Division of Medicine and Integrated Care (MIC), which operates Trust-wide, and the acute medicine team at St Mary's Hospital - contributing to the medical take, care of medical inpatients and same day emergency care (SDEC).
The Medical registrar will spend 60% of their time in acute medicine and 40% of their time in another specialty which is most likely to be rheumatology.
The duration of the post is 1 year initially, with the possibility of extending.
Main duties of the job
This post is 60% clinical within the department of Acute Medicine at St Mary's and 40% within another specialty, which is most likely to be rheumatology.
The post holder will also be on the GIM on call rota, which includes a mixture of long days, weekends and nights.
The post holder should be able to start the job as soon as possible.
