- Minimum of first degree and Post registration qualification in IPC or equivalent experience.
- Mentorship in Practice or equivalent [Standards for Student supervision and Assessments (SSSA) Training.

- Has obtained a master's qualification or working towards.
- CPD courses at master's level relevant to the post in education or equivalent.

- Clinical nursing skills and experience gained in an acute environment at band 7, (minimum of 2 years at B7 within an IPC role).

- Experience of presenting in different forums.
