Job summary
Imperial College Healthcare (ICHT) NHS Trust wishes to recruit an 9.3 PA Locum Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist for a period of twelve months to cover maternity leave.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide rapid access clinics and both emergency and elective gynaecology theatre cover along with early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology scanning sessions and an alternate week labour ward session.
This is an 9.3 PA locum consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist post. Activities include 8.3 DCC PAs per week (including clinical activity, clinically related activity, predictable and unpredictable emergency work), focussed on providing rapid access, operating lists, providing early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology diagnostics and surgical cover and a labour ward session monthly.
Supporting Professional Activities 1 PA per week for CPD (including audit, clinical governance, appraisal & job planning and Mandatory training).

Essential
- On GMC's register with a Licence to Practice or eligible to apply for GMC registration and a Licence to Practice
- On GMC's Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the register by the date of the interviews or eligible for specialist registration
- Appropriate Royal College Membership
Knowledge/ Skills
Essential
- ATSM: Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy (AGEP) or extensive equivalent experience
- Additional advance Gynaecological ultrasound training / experience relevant to Rapid access provision
- IT Skills and computer literacy
- Advanced Labour Ward Practice
Leadership/ Management Skills

- Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, exert appropriate authority
- Have proven skills in leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of colleagues.
