Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a number of enthusiastic and motivated Senior Pharmacy Assistants to join our excellent Pharmacy Team on the Hammersmith and St Marys hospital sites, which are part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
You will be part of the busy Pharmacy Dispensary and Distribution Team, providing a high quality, patient focused dispensing and stock management service to the wards and clinics on the Hammersmith site. You will also provide support to pharmacy stores.
You will need good computer skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and so excellent communication skills are essential. In addition you will have the opportunity to work towards an NVQ Level 2 (QCF) in Pharmacy Service Skills.

Main duties of the job
Senior Pharmacy Assistants have a patient-centred approach, aim to deliver high standards of hospital pharmacy services, have a good understanding of the importance of medicines in patient care and have an awareness of the roles of multi-disciplinary team members.
Senior Pharmacy Assistants are a key member of the wider Pharmacy team in providing essential services and effective stock management.The role is rotational, working within Dispensary and Stores/Distribution as per rota and/or discretion of the Chief Pharmacy Technician - Dispensary Services.
