Job summary
Are you passionate about working with children and their families? We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our vibrant paediatric outpatient departments.
Role Highlights:

What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (paediatric experience essential)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Care certificate or equivalent
- A friendly, adaptable team player with excellent communication skills

Main duties of the job
To work as part of a team providing clinical, phlebotomy, stock maintenance and administrative support to the Paediatric service under the supervision of a registered nurse.
To carry out care and treatment tasks, delegated from professionally qualified nursing and medical staff, requiring a wide range of technical ability, numeracy and literacy skills as well as a significant level of interpersonal skills. To supervise less experienced staff in the clinical area, ensuring patient focused care is always delivered.
To ensure the assigned clinical areas are tidy and ordered at all times and maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of the environment.
To ensure that all necessary information is available for the service to operate effectively and to record clinical activity and outcomes using the appropriate hospital systems.
