Are you an experienced paediatric nurse ready to lead with impact? Step into a pivotal leadership role as Ward Manager of Great Western Ward, where your clinical expertise, managerial insight, and passion for paediatrics will shape the future of care for children and young people.
This is more than a Band 7 post--it's an opportunity to drive service delivery, inspire a high-performing team, and collaborate with paediatric specialists across the trust. Based on our 22-bedded general paediatric inpatient unit, you'll oversee care for patients ranging from neonates to adolescence, including admissions from emergency services, paediatric intensive care units, specialist services such as infectious diseases and referrals from other sites across West London Children's Hospital.

Main duties of the job
In this leadership role, you will:
- Provide strategic management and day-to-day oversight of the ward.
- Lead workforce planning, clinical governance, and service improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior nurses and drive continuous professional development.
- Foster interprofessional collaboration across critical care, ED, community teams, and ambulatory care.
- Be a visible advocate for child-centred care, ensuring safety, quality, and compassion at every turn.
