Job summary
Ensure efficient and effective management of the administration process for private patients receiving paediatric treatment, particularly complex paediatric haematology patients. The post holder is to ensure that the financial structures in place are robust and that all financial instructions are adhered to. The role is to provide a comprehensive point of contact and reference for all private patients receiving treatment paediatric booked into the department, including ensuring that the Trust is paid for all private treatment provided.
In addition, the post holder will effectively manage the planning and prioritisation of the work associated with the clinical and administrative teams and organise all activities in order to achieve a cost effective, productive and high quality service. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for all enquiries and bookings in relation to the paediatric private patient service
Main duties of the job
- To provide an efficient and effective business administrative service for private patients receiving investigations and treatment.
- To establish, maintain and monitor administration systems to ensure the smooth running of the service.
- To ensure that all relevant quality and customer care standards are consistently met.
- Ensure that all necessary financial and billing activity is carried out accurately and promptly to maximise Trust Income.
- Manage the Lindo outpatient team.
