Job summary

Join our Children's Therapies team as a Therapy Support Worker at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, working with children and young people (age 0-19 years) and their families. Children's therapies includes Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Dietetics: at least half of the role is working within children's physiotherapy.

You will support our Children's Therapies Service across inpatient, outpatient and community settings--including Woodfield Child Development Physiotherapy Service. Working under the guidance of qualified therapists, you will help deliver high-quality therapy, including hydrotherapy, in a variety of environments such as children's wards and intensive care, outpatient clinics, special and mainstream schools, nurseries, and homes in North RBKC and Westminster.

You will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the service. This includes organising resources, managing equipment, handling documentation, responding to enquiries, and contributing to efficient service delivery.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist, support and work under the direction of a qualified therapist.
  • Manage own caseload of patients, with supervision.
  • Achieve, develop and maintain competencies through skills and knowledge development.
  • Record patient information in line with Trust guidelines.
  • Work effectively within the team, service and Trust.
  • Perform non-clinical and administrative duties within the service, as required.
  • Manage equipment, products and stock levels.
