Job summary
We are seeking experienced band 6 (trainee post) or Band 7 nurse.
The successful candidate will work on a rota and cover cardiothoracic ward areas. The role involves clerking and discharging patients, cannulation, phlebotomy, prescribing, active ward round participant and working in collaboration with the surgical teams.Successful candidates will be expected work within the the four pillars of advanced practice.
We have a very well established Nurse Practitioner service currently with seventeen members of staff in post but are looking to further develop and expand our current team.
The post holders work long days and cover weekends but do not cover night duties so if you are looking for a new and exciting challenge as well as a new development to your existing nursing practice please apply.
Main duties of the job
Advanced clinical practice embodies the ability to manage clinical care in partnership with patients, families and carers. It includes the analysis and synthesis of complex problems across a range of settings, enabling innovative solutions to enhance people's experience and improve outcomes.
